Summertime
The Hills are alive with the sound of tourists! This is the road heading into Rochford from the west.
Plentiful rains this spring have made it one of the prettiest on record, and warmer temperatures are now pleasing all those who come to enjoy the outdoor sports. The Mickelson Trail continues to attract huge numbers of enthusiasts. There were 1200 participants in the Marathon in early June and over a hundred bicyclists took part in the Big Mick race in July.
The "Small of America" has undergone a few more changes with new display racks we built and a finished Gallery wall to display artwork. With one new painting in the store and another partially completed, the space is filling up fast.
Different coolers and a new freezer have allowed us to expand our food selections, and we have two new sweatshirt styles as well as the T-shirts.
On a sad note, 'Bud' the one-eyed Lab that was a resident at the Moonshine Gulch Saloon, is no longer with us. His age just finally caught up with him and we all miss him.
However, just so you know, the 17 puppies (actually there were 19) have found new homes, and we now have two new populations growing in the birdhouses on our fence. One is a family of Barn Swallows and the other is a family of Wrens!
Life is good in Rochford, come visit soon......
